Just a couple of days after a 9-8 loss to the Winnipeg Jets 2.0, the Flyers bounced back with a convicing victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
The man of the night of Claude Giroux, picking up four points (1 goal and 4 assists). Elder statesman Jaromir Jagr also picked up 2 goals, bringing his season total to five.
The other player who left a significant impact was Ilya Bryzgalov. After the 9-8 loss, he issued comments to the media admitting his play was lousy. In this game, he was relatively solid, bringing him a step toward's the Ilya that won 42 games in the 2009-2010 season.
The offense was great as usual, but Bryzgalov's play was the x-factor, and he stepped up to the equation. If he can do this more consistantly, expect more big things out of the Flyers.
