The Flyers acquired Kris Versteeg from the Maple Leafs for a 1st and a 3rd round draft pick.

This move show that GM Paul Holmgren wants the Flyers to win now. Versteeg, who as of this writing has 14 goals and 21 assists, will suit up for the Flyers next game.

Versteeg played last year on the Stanley Cup winning Blackhawks. He will help to impact the Flers, who are still in first place.

While it may have been a risk to give up their first round pick and their third round pick as well, this move shows how seriously the flyers are in winning Lord Stanley's Cup.
